4Warn Weather Update

Thunderstorms, which prompted severe thunderstorm warnings in Southeast Michigan on Sunday evening, have moved out of the region.

Drier weather is on the way to Metro Detroit.

The chance of a few showers and isolated thunderstorms will come to an end Sunday evening, but the breezy conditions will continue. Southwesterly winds will be 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

Under mostly cloudy skies, Southeast Michigan will have overnight lows from the mid 40s to near 50 degrees.

Monday

Monday, or Veterans Day, will be breezy with a mix of sunshine and clouds. If attending a morning ceremony, plan for temperatures in the lower 50s in Metro Detroit.

Afternoon temperatures will be comfortable with highs in the lower 50s in the Thumb and mid 50 near Ann Arbor, Rochester Hills, Mt. Clemens, Adrian, and Monroe. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s near Westland, Dearborn, and Detroit. Westerly winds will be 10 to 20 mph with peak gusts around 30 mph.

Monday night’s skies will be mostly cloudy. Lows will be in the lower 30s in Ann Arbor, Howell Flint and Lapeer, mid 30s in Livonia, Farmington Hills and Shelby Township, and upper 30s in Downtown Detroit and Grosse Ile.

Tuesday

Tuesday will be mostly sunny, but it will also be cooler. Highs will be back to normal at around 50 degrees. Lows will be in the lower to mid 30s.

Wednesday

Wednesday is likely to be dry until the nighttime hours. After daytime highs in the lower 50s with partly cloudy skies, showers will arrive for the evening with lows in the lower 40s.

Thursday

Spotty showers will continue into Thursday. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy. Highs will be in the lower 50s. Lows will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

Next Weekend

The sunshine will return for Friday and Saturday with partly cloudy skies. Expect highs in the mid to upper 50s. Then, Sunday will bring the chance of rain showers again.
